Study of the effects and consequences of water use in nursing calves

Hypothesis
Drinking water and water are factors that determine the health status and productive nursing calves. Both aspects have a direct impact at the time of saving; both at the start of feed intake and the amount they consume it during lactation. This is the best state of water and the largest floor area of troughs causing increased consumption of feed advanced form in time.

Objectives
Quantify and differentiate water consumption in nursing calves depending
on access to it.
Quantify and differentiate the feed intake in nursing calves depending on
access and/or consumption with water.
Quantify and differentiate the health and production data: average daily growth
and feed conversion as access and water consumption.

Research project of the levels of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
Parainfluenza-3 (PI-3), infectious bovine rhinotracheitis(IBR) and bovine viral diarrhea virus(BVD) in nursing calves.

Objectives

Ascertaining the levels of viral antibodies of calves to the input of farm milk.
Know the levels of viral antibodies in valves after thirty days from the entry to the farm.
Assess the possible seroconversion of animals against different diseases.
Evaluate possible differences among different races and/or origins.
